Enhancing Urban Waterfronts: Amain Engineering Development Limited’s Delivery of Kwun Tong Promenade (Stage 2)

Amain Engineering Development Limited, we are dedicated to enriching urban spaces through high-quality capital works projects that serve the people and communities of Hong Kong. One of our signature achievements is the successful delivery of the Construction of Kwun Tong Promenade (Stage 2) under Contract No. SS A508, completed on behalf of the Architectural Services Department.

The Kwun Tong Promenade (Stage 2) was a continuation of the government’s initiative to transform the Kowloon East district into a vibrant, livable, and sustainable community. The project reimagines the industrial waterfront into a welcoming green corridor that supports recreation, wellness, and community interaction.

Key Features

Our role as the main contractor involved the comprehensive construction of new public amenities, infrastructure, and green spaces, as well as improvement works to the prior stage (Stage 1). The final result strikes a balance between functional utility and aesthetic value.

Boardwalk and Landscape Features

We constructed a 750-meter waterfront boardwalk designed for pedestrians, runners, and cyclists to enjoy panoramic harbour views. Lined with lawns, planters, and shaded sitting-out areas, the promenade supports a wide range of passive recreation and leisure activities while visually softening the former industrial zone.
